Privacy
Anonymous play stats help improve these games. No cookies, no accounts, nothing you type.
Applies to this site, Text Press, Shadow Sweep and Sand Dial. Last updated 6 October 2026.
What is sent
- What happens in the game, as short event names: for example a game started, a result shown, a button pressed, how long you played. Text Press sends its scores as ranges.
- Which of our links brought you here (the
reftag we add to our own links) or which website linked to the page, whether you use touch or a mouse, your browser's language, and whether you are inside an app's built-in browser (such as X's). - A random ID that is new every time you open a page, so one visit's events belong together. We can't recognise you on your next visit.
- Shadow Sweep also sends the page address and basic browser details (browser, operating system, screen size).
What is not collected
- Anything you type. In Text Press, your word stays in your browser; only its length, whether it is letters or digits, and a score range are sent.
- Names, email addresses or accounts. Location is at most the country, worked out by the services from your connection.
- Cookies. Nothing for tracking is stored on your device. A game may remember a setting, such as sound on or off or your language, on your device; that never leaves it.
- IP addresses: our analytics service is set to discard them.
Services
- PostHog (US region) receives the game events.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies.
- The sites are hosted on Cloudflare Pages and Vercel.
Why
To see whether people understand a game, play past the start, and try again, so the next version can be better. The data is not sold or used for advertising.
